Jade

Hello Friends,

There is a story older than memory which tells of two scarlet snake eggs hidden inside a Willow tree. Willow trees are full of feminine magic and women’s mysteries. With all that healing and growth magic, what was inside those scarlet snake eggs grew and evolved, until it was time. The eggs opened and as the first snake uncoiled it became the SUN and the second snake uncoiled and became the Earth. Thus the universe was born.

The Willow Moon shines down at us during springs strength, where new life is a twitterpated reality and anything goes. Flowers are blooming, the bees are starting to buzz, and our robin clans are breaking off into pairs. Senusual and smooth. Homes are being set. Spring cleaning seems to transcend all species and everyone is singing while they work.

During this springtime we are under the Taurus sky. I think of Ferdinand The Bull who wanted to sit under his tree and smell flowers. There is not a better image. This is a time to take off your shoes and get grounded in the earth. To stop and smell the flowers, and lay down and look at the clouds. You are grounded in the earth and you honor all that it is offering by enjoying it. Moment to moment…enjoy it. Systems are in place and you’ve got maintence down, you push it out with your belly and let the breath back in. What you’ve got to do: 1.Breath out. 2. Breath in. 3. Repeat

I chose Jade this moon because spring and earth make me think of Honor, and honor makes me think Jade. It is a stone that it if looks and feels like Jade people called in Jade. In the same spirit as all red stones are Rubies. It has been found in braclets and beads and carvings along side humans for thousands of years. It is believed that Jade is full of QI and if it isn’t used the stone will die. When you first pick up Jade it is cold to the touch and warms with the wearer. Jade transforms negative into positive. Just like spring. So full of life is Jade.

This moon I did the same picture over and over until I felt I really grok the subject of this moon time. I looked at cave art. I even attempted a mouse adventure where Papa finds art! In the picturen to the right: See how the moon is over the 4th dot from the solstice sun? that’s showing we are in the Saille (Willow) Moon. Also the bull to represent Taurus and a Jade idol in a cave alter.

This is where I began. I then looked at pictures and of course played with toys. So many cards this moon have willow leaves and a Bull with a Jade ring.

I spent time with my young Willow tree and played with my jade necklace in the light. I touched and smelled and felt these things. I grounded into them and felt the honor that come from pushing out and allowing breath in. This is the moment. This is the life. This is the Now.

You are Sensual. You are Stable. You are Living.
