The Vine (Muin, “M”) Moon is upon us. The fall is happening as I write this.
Our day and night is equal in light. The Veil is thinning as the dark time is beginning. The growing passions are reaching for the last bit of light before the planet says goodnight. Charms and laughter, tears and twists, Amethyst charms never miss.

In my art this month I made my cups out of Amethyst. Vine, Muin to the Celts, becomes the Libra scale balancing the light. Only could a libra make the sun and the moon balance on a vine. It speaks to a balance, of charm and beauty not of mass or strength. The Vine is twist and turns. A fruit bearing “tree” that has inspired great passions. Vines are about prophecy and truth. The inward journeys that lead to life lessons and Change. In Alder the world danced in the balance of ME, now in Vine the world equalizes in WE. This shift saves us in darkness. WE are Change.

Libra is we. Libra is balance and harmony and beauty and love and riches. It’s high art and intellectualism. Libra is people pleasing and always delightful. A hostess with the mostest. WE are Charm.

Dionysus, the god of wine (Vine) and pleasure (Libra), Chased the unwilling Nymph, Amethyst. Amethyst prayed to the goddess for safety and was turned into a Quartz Crystal rock. When Dionysus came across the clear stone he fell to his knees and spilled his wine all over the stone turning it to a brilliant purple. Others contest it is manganese that give it the rich red-purple color. Amethyst geodes have been found so large a man could stand in the middle of them. An Arabian Amethyst necklace from 2000 BCE proves that Amethyst are timeless. Amethysts are part of the crown chakra. Wearing amethyst protects you from psychic attacks and boost your creative health. This stone helps in healing, meditation, and spirituality. It is not concerned with our body but our spirit. We are Spirit.
